In this semester you will do projects instead of Lab Programs. You should not take this sem easily especially in Projects. VI Sem is easier then 5th & Scoring (80+). Unlike in 3rd, 4th or 5th there are no Lab Programs but you have to do 3 projects instead.

Most of the students will not do projects instead they take from seniors. This is the big mistake they do. You will not realize this until you get a job or face an interview. Always do 2 projects, if possible do third.

Project 1: (Main Project). If your college have campus interview then they ask you about your Main Project Only. So, take it seriously and do the project. This doesn’t mean that it is not important for non-campus interview colleges. The following guidelines will help you to do effective project.

1) Don’t do Simulation Project.
I have noticed that most of the students will do Simulation Project. Examiners will get a bad impression because these projects can be done using Power Point. So, always do a project that will be useful. I have done a web browser similar to IE with some extra feature. Do any system side instead of application side.

b)Image Compression
c)CD Player
d)Drivers for any hard ware devices such as Floppy Drive, CD ROM, Sound Card etc.
Web Browsers etc.

2) Start the project from 1st Day
We have suffered a lot because we didn’t do the project right from the beginning.
We did not know Visual Basic & Oracle till the end of III Test. So, I sincerely advice you people that do not waste the time in the Holidays, learn VB & SQL thoroughly. Don’t depend on any body. Try to do your own unless you are not able to solve them.
